Hello everyone, Updates... this fall our Lulu made a ECNL regional team. Then she was selected again for the states Olympic Development Program (ODP) team. 🏆
She tried out over the summer with many girls her age to qualify for the ODP pool team, where only 40 players were selected out of those 40 girls 18 were chosen to represent Colorado in the regional ODP tournament in January, then from there they play this summer in UT for nationals. ODP is a program that has developed many star athleates and has been that pathway to the Olympics.
But here comes the hard part: registration fees alone cost $1075—just a fraction compared to what she needs for travel costs, kit (that’s soccer uniform for those unfamiliar!) and other expenses. She may also get the chance to travel to Spain to play over seas in the spring with this team. Her trip to the UK last spring was amazing, after a header goal (see photo) one of the English coaches gave her an a very loud "Outrageous!" Then spent several minutes trying to ask her coach how he tought her to do that. The thing is, it wasn't tought, she's just something else! We are standing at the edge of this incredible opportunity knowing you need just one more thing to make it happen!
