Legal Defense for Our Son's Criminal Case

Our Story:

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and family during an incredibly difficult time. Our son, Metodija (Mende) Lazoroski, is a kind, hardworking young man who has never been in trouble before. Moreover, he is the type of person who never asks for help, especially financial. Mende is usually on the other end, where he would be the one giving and helping others. He has spent his entire life staying busy and contributing to the community. Mende has been involved in jujutsu for the past 15 years where he devoted time in helping/training others and did so wholeheartedly. During the last four years, he has been busy renovating his first house and has come a long way. It was not easy to convince Mende to agree to start this fundraiser.

However, Mende is currently facing serious legal challenges and has been charged with five felony counts of malicious destruction of fire/police property, specifically involving Flock license plate reader cameras. We were shocked to find out that attorneys (at least the ones who have a high reputation) want anywhere between $10,000-$30,000 just to even touch the case. Most of those attorneys told us they would charge another $5,000-$10,000 per motion and then additional if the case goes to trial. This doesn’t include court costs, fees, and restitution.

As his family, our primary focus is ensuring that his constitutional right to a fair trial, due process, and proper legal representation is upheld. Navigating five felony charges requires an extensive and thorough defense strategy. The costs associated with mounting a proper criminal defense—including retaining an experienced defense attorney, handling mandatory court fees, and managing complex legal documentation—are immense and far exceed what we can handle alone.

Where the Funds Go:

Please be assured that 100% of the funds raised through this campaign will be used exclusively to pay for his direct legal defense fees, attorney retainers, official court costs, and any court-ordered restitution required to fully resolve this matter. None of these funds will be used for personal expenses or general lifestyle support.

We believe deeply in the legal system's guarantee of a fair defense and want to ensure he has the representation and resources necessary to face these charges in a court of law. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward these legal and financial obligations.
