Cam Higby and Jonathan Choe have been investigating potential fraud at daycare businesses in Washington State bringing in hundreds of thousands, or millions of dollars. We have received multiple credible tips that people we have investigated will attempt to sue us and are actively seeking legal assistance. We are independent journalists who fund ourselves. For our work to continue, we must be free of frivolous legal action. We must defend the First Amendment and the ability to investigate publicly subsidized businesses.
