My brother Gene got a call from a friend on Monday morning October 12 @ 5:30am, The friend stated that one of his very young heifer cows had a calf prematurely, that he didnt have time to nurse it he would have to put it down. His friend stated that my brother Gene was the only hope for this beautiful creation to survive. The Mother cleaned it up and then abandoned her. (If she lives she will live a long life up to 16years)
The birth was extremely hard for her and the calf got stuck in the birth canal which caused lack of oxygen and she's having some neurological problem that should resolve with intensive care and therapy. The calf is 35 pounds, which is 40% under normal. She is eating but cant stand up yet, she has to be held up 10 times a day to strengthen her muscles, but is making progress. She will need supplements and raw milk purchase from a raw milk dairy enough for 6 months of raw milk, my brother has a big heart for all living creatures. We our asking our community on Give Send Go to suggest names for this beautiful creature of god.
