Pixie's surgery today, October 14th has been cancelled due to her having focal seizure prior to procedure. She is now home and resting. She was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication.
New surgery date is on Oct 22nd.

Our sweet Pixie,13-year-old Shih Tzu has been a beloved member of our family for most of our lives. She is more than just a pet, she's family. Through the years, she has been by our side through both happy and difficult times, always greeting us with unconditional love, a wagging tail, and a gentle heart.
Recently, our precious Pixie was diagnosed with bladder stones. The stones are causing her discomfort and pain, and our veterinarian has recommended surgery to remove them. She is currently taking medication to help manage her pain and is on a special prescription wet and dry food diet, but these measures can only do so much. Surgery is her best chance at living comfortably and returning to the happy life she deserves.
On top of this, Pixie also suffers from a thyroid condition that requires lifelong medication and ongoing care. Despite all of her health challenges, she continues to show her incredible spirit every day.
