❤️ UPDATE ON NOVA — WE FINALLY HAVE ANSWERS! 🐾
After meeting with the orthopedic surgeon, we now have a more specific diagnosis for my sweet girl. Nova has been diagnosed with Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease (CCLD) and will need a surgery called Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) to repair and stabilize her knee.
The updated estimate for Nova's surgery and care is $5,627.
For those who know Nova, you know she's full of life, energy, and personality. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is playing frisbee. Watching her go from running, jumping, and enjoying life to being limited by this injury has been heartbreaking.
Nova isn't just my dog. She's my family, my constant companion, and such a huge part of my heart. All I want is to give her the chance to heal, live without pain, and eventually get back to doing all the things she loves.
Unfortunately, the cost of this surgery is more than I can manage financially on my own. I'm doing everything I can to get Nova the care she needs, but I still need help.
To everyone who has already donated, shared our fundraiser, or sent kind words — THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ Your kindness and generosity mean more to me than I could ever put into words.
If you're able to donate, no amount is too small. And if donating isn't possible, simply sharing Nova's story would mean the world to us.

Help Nova Get Back on Her Feet ❤️
If you know me, you know how much my girl Nova means to me. Asking for help like this is incredibly hard for me, but when it comes to her, I will do whatever I have to do.
Nova isn’t “just a dog” to me. She is my baby, my shadow, my constant companion, and has saved me in ways I couldn’t explain. She follows me everywhere, is always by my side, and has brought more love and happiness into my life than I could ever put into words.
For the past several weeks, I knew something wasn’t right with Nova. She wasn’t acting like herself physically, so we started physical therapy in hopes that we could figure out what was going on and get her feeling better. I kept hoping we would start seeing improvement, but unfortunately, we didn’t.
We finally got the answer I had been dreading.
Nova has a torn ACL and needs surgery.
Her surgery is going to cost over $5,627.69 (this is for the pre-op and post-op care) at Veterinary Surgery Specialists. I wish more than anything that I could simply say, “Schedule it,” and not have to worry about the cost. But $5,627.69 is something I just cannot come up with on my own, especially after already trying to help her through physical therapy and everything else we’ve done to get to this point.
She should be running around, playing, going on walks, and enjoying her life without being in pain or limited by an injury that can be repaired.
I’ve already been doing everything I can for her, and I’m not giving up on her now. But this is the part I can’t get her through by myself.
So, as difficult as it is for me to do this, I’m asking for help.
Every donation will go toward Nova’s surgery and the medical care surrounding it. No amount is too small. $5, $10, $20—it all adds up and gets my girl one step closer to having her surgery and getting back to the Nova we all know and love.
And if you aren’t in a position to donate, please consider sharing her fundraiser. A share may reach someone who is able to help, and that means just as much to us.
I completely understand that everyone has their own bills, families, and struggles, so please don’t ever feel obligated. Whether you donate, share this, say a prayer for her, or simply keep my girl in your thoughts, I am incredibly grateful.
I just want Nova better. I want my happy, crazy, beautiful girl to have the life she deserves.
I would do anything for her. Right now, that means putting my pride aside and asking for a little help to get her back on her feet.
Donations can also be made to my Venmo account @WhitneyKsobiech.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading Nova’s story, sharing it, and helping us in any way you can. ❤️
