For the past nine months, my friend has been without a reliable vehicle, and that has made an already difficult season of life much harder.
During that time, she has dealt with ongoing health problems that have made walking long distances difficult and, at times, impossible. Without transportation, even basic things like getting to appointments, looking for work, buying groceries, and handling everyday responsibilities have become major obstacles.
She was also recently been displaced from her home, leaving her in an even more vulnerable position. She has been trying to get back on her feet, but without a car, finding steady employment and rebuilding some stability has been extremely difficult.
Her old vehicle is no longer a realistic option. The repairs would cost more than the car is worth. Thankfully, a church has located a dependable vehicle that she can purchase for $2,000.
That means there is now a very practical way to make a real difference.
Our goal is to raise $2,500 so she can purchase this car, get it registered, and regain reliable transportation. A vehicle would give her the ability to pursue employment, get to medical appointments, take care of basic needs, and begin rebuilding some independence and stability.
