Dear Family, Friends and Supporters
We are reaching out to ask for your urgent help and support for Heather as she begins the toughest battle of her life against Stage 4 Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
For those who know Heather, you know she is a walking,talking miracle.Throughout 2025, she courageously fought a severe seizure disorder. We give God all the praise for her healing in January 2026! However, just days shy of being seizure-free for six months, Heather woke up with a painful bump on her collarbone along with weakness in her arm. Doctors rushed her through a series of CT scans and tests, which revealed a large mass growing from her collarbone.
Heather was immediately evaluated by a leading oncologist in Vancouver, BC. A biopsy confirmed that out of 85 subtypes of Lymphoma, Heather has been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma—an extremely aggressive and fast-moving form of Stage 4 cancer. Her oncologist shared that without immediate, aggressive treatment, she would have only 6 months to live.
Heather has already started treatment, but because of how fast the cancer is moving and how demanding her medical regimen is, she is completely unable to work.
The Need
Because of her prior health battles, Heather was already unable to work and was struggling to keep up with monthly bills. While she is living with her loving parents and is currently applying for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) support, official approval takes time—and the cost of living and medical care adds up quickly. Furthermore, the tumor has severely damaged and broken her collarbone. She requires physiotherapy to regain mobility, which is not covered by her medical plan, as well as specific nutritional supplements to support her immune system through aggressive treatment. There will also be ongoing financial needs along the way as she has to travel down the island to the BC Cancer Agency and to other appointments for ongoing treatments and appointments with Specialists.
We are asking our community to open their hearts and hands to support Heather for the next 6 months of her fight.
