Thank you to everyone who has shared their appreciation for Fern White. There has been an overwhelming desire from people in our community to help and show Fern just how much she is appreciated. For those who know Fern, you know how much of herself she gives to this community. She devotes countless hours to local groups, including Crime Busters, keeps neighbors informed, supports local businesses, helps connect people with resources, and is always willing to step up when someone needs help. Now we have an opportunity to come together for her. Fern's home is in need of a new roof, and Shylee Roofing will be donating the labor to complete the project. We are hoping to raise approximately $16,000 to cover the roofing materials and dumping fees needed to complete the job. We also want to make something very clear: Fern did not ask for this fundraiser. This was something the community wanted to do for her, simply as a way of giving back to someone who has given so much of herself. Thank you for standing with us to show Fern how much she means to this community.
