For those that don't know us, my name is Cassi.
3 years ago my parents, Steve and Bonnie, adopted 3 old english pocket beagles- Daisy, Cricket, and Roscoe.
Roscoe was for my husband and I and is a snuggle bug. Daisy is sweet and tender. Cricket, well, she's the crazy one. She is full of life and love and is always down for a party.
A few weeks ago she started having vomiting and diarrhea. She was back and forth to the vet. Changing food. Trying meds. Nothing helped.
Then she vomited blood and my parents took her to the ER. They did xrays and blood test but could not fins a cause.
That bill is $2000+ that my parents put on care credit.
She went to her regular vet and they changed her meds to treat an ulcer.
She finally improved. Back to her old self. No issues.
Until last night when she vomited blood again.
She spent the night in the ER. We are waiting for them to do a sonogram.
My parents are in their 70's and about to retire. They are not in a great place financially but Cricket is their baby. She is only 3 years old.
I know it is a big ask in this economy but any help is helpful. I know there is a huge community around us and a little bit goes a long way.
If you cannot afford to give, we beg for prayers. We need our little spitfire to come back from this. ❤️
UPDATE (Or Pupdate as it were)
Another trip to vet for bloody diarrhea---
$500 blood test, new prescription (special order) hydrolyzed food.
No food or meds for 48 hours to reset her system. Then try new food slowly.
Still may need to see veterinary gastroenterologist to have an endoscopy done.
We need prayers and answers! She is suffering and we are exhausted. Papa stays up with her all night and I take the day shift. Daisy is stressing that Cricket is sick.
And our stress is stressing everyone!!!!
