My brother is truly one of the hardest-working men I know. He’s a dedicated electrician, a loving husband, and a father to young boys who depend on him. Day in and day out, he works tirelessly to provide for his family and build a good life for them.
Unfortunately, for the third time, he’s been the victim of someone breaking into his belongings and stealing what he’s worked so hard for.
Last night, someone smashed the window of his work truck, unlocked it, and stole nearly $10,000 worth of electrical tools and equipment. Not just belongings, but the very tools he relies on to make an honest living and support his family.
And the most heartbreaking part? This has happened before.
Four years ago, just as he was welcoming his firstborn into the world, his tools were stolen. He spent the following years working hard to replace what he’d lost, slowly rebuilding his collection of tools and equipment, only to have it all ripped away from him again.
I cannot begin to express how unfair this feels.
My brother isn’t someone who asks for help. He’s the kind of man who puts his head down, works hard, and does whatever it takes to take care of the people he loves. He doesn’t even know I’m creating this fundraiser, and knowing him, he’d probably never ask anyone for a dime.
But that’s exactly why I’m doing it.
Because sometimes the people who ask for the least deserve our help the most.
It breaks my heart to watch someone who works so hard, does things the right way, and asks for so little have to start over yet again because of someone else’s selfish actions.
I’m hoping to raise enough money to help replace his stolen tools so he can continue doing what he does best — working hard and providing for his family — without having to shoulder this tremendous loss alone.
I know life is expensive and times are difficult for so many. If you’re able to contribute, even a few dollars, it would mean the world. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this fundraiser would be an incredible kindness.
He has spent his life showing up for his family. I’m hoping we can come together and show up for him.
There are still so many good people in this world, and I’d love nothing more than to remind him of that.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping someone who would never ask for help himself. ❤️
