Have you ever imagined having to walk the equivalent of a half marathon every single day—just to get water before you can learn, teach, or even use the restroom?

This is the daily reality for the children at Kyuasini Primary School in Kenya.

Every day, students walk approximately 20 kilometers (12+ miles round trip)—the distance of a half marathon—to collect water so the school can function. This means lost class time, physical exhaustion, and an ongoing burden placed on young children—simply to meet a basic human need.

Yet, there is hope.

The Opportunity

After completing a professional hydrological survey, we discovered that there is strong water potential directly on the school grounds. Clean, sustainable water is likely accessible—but it lies deep underground.

To reach it, we must first drill a test well, and if successful, complete the full well construction to provide the school with a permanent water source.

The Goal

We are raising $33,000 (USD) to:

• Drill and test the well
• Confirm reliable water access
• Complete construction if water is confirmed
• Provide long-term, on-site water for the school

This single project would completely transform daily life at Kyuasini Primary School.
