Youth With a Mission Discipleship Training School is what my foster daughter really needs. Technically we are her legal guardians because we couldn’t actually adopt her. So, she’s our bonus daughter. We are not Foster parents with the state so we don’t get any money for taking care of her. We were doing her grandmother a favor because she loved her so much and wanted a better life for her granddaughter.

She’s troubled from her past and is really in need of good Godly training, more than I can provide. I truly believe that this could change the trajectory of her life if she’s able to attend.

The cost? About $12,000 USD. That’s a significant sum—more than we had saved in our family budget for such an idea. It feels like a distant dream, almost unattainable. But God keeps putting it on my heart so I told him he would have to provide the money if he wants her to go.

She mentioned before that she would like to do missions but, I wasn’t sure how we would go about that. The experiences at YWAM could shape her character, teach resilience, and show us both that our faith can be tested in the most challenging of situations.

So here we are, sharing our hearts—not through grand speeches or fancy statistics, but in raw honesty about what's at stake and why it matters so much to us. Our goal is $12,000 USD because that’s how much this dream costs for her 6-month journey towards a deeper understanding of faith and service rather than a life of destruction.
