Hi, my name is Brittany. I’m 36 years old, and I live in Arkansas with my husband, Chris, a paralyzed U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and our two daughters.
We moved to Arkansas seven years ago, where we continued fostering children and eventually had the privilege of adopting our two girls through foster care.
In August, after a long and grueling eight-month process, I underwent my first frozen embryo adoption transfer. Between the embryos, medications, appointments, travel from Little Rock to Knoxville, and the transfer itself, we spent around $15,000.
Sadly, that transfer failed, and we lost our sweet McKenzie Gloria.
Before we knew the outcome of our transfer, we had already planned a family vacation to the Ark Encounter. We wanted some time away to breathe, reconnect, and make memories together as a family of four after such an emotionally exhausting year. We still plan to take that trip with our girls.
At the same time, we have decided to move forward and adopt two more frozen embryos.
The timing financially is not ideal, but we also do not want to walk away from these little lives simply because the road has been expensive.
Another attempt means more appointments that are not covered by insurance, medications that are also not covered, travel back and forth from Little Rock to Knoxville, the transfer fee of $4,160, and the cost of the embryos at $450 each.
The remaining cost we are trying to cover is about $3,000.
I hesitated to create another GoFundMe because so many people have already prayed for us, encouraged us, shared our story, and supported us financially. I never want anyone to feel pressured to give.
But if you feel led to help, any amount is deeply appreciated.
And even more than financial support, I would ask you to pray. We are moving forward either way, and our biggest prayer is that these sweet babies make it safely through the thaw, transfer, implant, grow, and stay.
Thank you for loving our family and walking alongside us as we continue this journey.
