Eli’s Spinal fusion surgery

Our son Eli, who is 13, was diagnosed with scoliosis 6 months ago with a 47 degree curve. The orthopedic dr gave us very few options besides surgery because his curve is over 43 degrees. At his six month follow up, the curve was 68 degrees. He is in pain every day and it breaks my heart. His dr advised us to schedule surgery as soon as possible so he will be going in to CHOA during Christmas break for spinal fusion surgery and will

stay in the hospital for 3-5 days and then head home to recover.

As hard as we have tried, we have not been able to cover his mri from his last appt nor can we afford the copay for surgery and the next mri and ultrasound before surgery. We know God is working through all of this and are looking forward to seeing how much better Eli feels after he heals. It is absolutely a blessing to be living in a place where something like this has a “fix” and that Eli Will eventually be able to live without physical limitation or pain as he grows up!
