Back in 2022, good mates Wayne and Mike were having a coffee, talking about how tough things were getting for everyday Aussies. The cost of living was going up, rates were rising, and more people were struggling just to put food on the table.

That chat sparked a simple idea: buy a BBQ, stick it on a trailer, and start feeding people for free.

Since then, every Thursday night in the town of Nambour, people have been coming out from their tents, shelters, and wherever they’re staying to grab a hot meal and connect with others.

What started with a few meals has grown into something much bigger. These days, we’re serving over 120 meals each week, along with handing out clothing, blankets, shoes and even tents for those doing it tough.

In the beginning, Wayne and Mike paid for everything themselves. But as the need grew, so did the cost. Thankfully, some incredible small businesses have jumped in to help supply food and essentials at times, making sure no one gets left behind.

The story has since gained support from local papers, council members, politicians and everyday legends who just want to make a difference.

As more people have asked how they can be involved, we’ve launched this campaign to reach more people and keep the mission going.
