Help Defend Election Integrity Whistleblower Stephanie Scott – Facing Felony Charges for Protecting Voter Records

Stephanie Scott, a dedicated public servant and patriot, who is committed to transparent and secure elections, served as the elected Township Clerk in Adams Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan. 

After the 2020 election, she raised legitimate concerns about tabulator testing, data retention, and potential deletion of election records during her tabulator’s “routine maintenance." After reviewing the contracts and laws, she discovered that ballot images are stored on the tabulator and that clerks – not vendors – are responsible for preserving them under state and federal law, requiring 22-months retention. (MCL 168.811 & 52 USC 20701)

She refused to hand over the township's voting tabulator without assurances that critical records wouldn't be erased and she preserved a copy of electronic pollbook data that the Bureau of Elections instructs Clerks to delete 7 days after the final canvas of an election. With expert analysis, she uncovered discrepancies between state-recorded votes and local certified results – including an 11.5% mismatch in who actually voted in the 2020 election.

For simply questioning these procedures, seeking legal advice, and standing up to protect election records:

• Stephanie was stripped of her election duties by the state.

• The township-owned election equipment was seized from her office during an active election.

• She was recalled from office.

• Then, in 2024, she was charged with multiple felonies (up to 7 years in prison) for alleged unauthorized access and misconduct – all stemming from efforts to ensure election integrity.

These charges have changed her life entirely: lost career, family stress, defamation, and mounting legal costs as the case heads to trial.

Stephanie followed the law, while acting under legal counsel, and fought to safeguard your votes. She stands for truth, but it comes at a high price.
