UPDATE 2:
A friend is coming from out of state to repair and update this month (he had to cancel the April trip). His work (mostly cosmetic) will increase my sales price by tens of thousands. The hardest part is finding volunteer bodies among my aging (and hobbled) friends!
I need $4800 to get through June and get it on the market. PLEASE HELP if you can.
If you aren't able, please share my campaign and say a prayer for our success.
I realize that I need to clarify my spinal conditions.
- One is debilitating and that is the symptomatic Tarlov cyst (pictured).
- The other was 5 budging/ruptured/extruding discs that the steroid epidural addressed
When I wrote that I was "pain free", that was the other discs responding to the caudal epidural and was true. The Tarlov cyst does not respond to that. Draining the Tarlov cyst wil not work (they refill in hours). Wrapping surgery is the only effective treatment.

Thank you all and God bless you!
UPDATE!T his is a long overdue update and I felt it important to wait until I had an interim neurosurgeon procedure that was done last week. Per instructions, I stayed flat on my back with ice for 72 hours (3 days) and I am thrilled to report I am pain free! This is huge and it has been more than five years since I've felt this way. When the Tarlov Cyst gets "angry", I will have some setbacks, but for now I can stand. I can walk. And I am grateful. I will still require ice therapy until I undergo wrap surgery in Dallas and as before, I will need to sell my home.I'm reaching out because I need 4 months to cover the mortgage and am willing to, like before, pay you back upon closing. I cannot be late on those payments and finally, I can see the light toward resolution. God is good. He hears us.I friend is coming here next month to help with minor maintenance and cosmetic improvements and I couldn't be more excited! I don't know if gift cards are available through Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards, but all are within 5 miles of my home. However, I do not have the resources to buy paint and other supplies and could use your help. Links are described below in the original campaign for gifting or loans. Please share this campaign and thank you in advance for your continued prayers!

*****************************Thank you for taking the time to read this. My life depends on it.
And I need your help.
I am alive, but I'm trapped by a very rare and painful condition: Large, Symptomatic Tarlov Cysts that have turned my life into a temporary prison, confining me to bed and a recirculating ice machine for 12 hours a day. This is a far cry from a former active and athletic person. I take 10 minute breaks as needed for food and hygiene. I use 7 pounds of ice daily and it's not covered by insurance.
This MRI in the campaign image was taken while hospitalized in October 2025. It shows the large cysts compressing my spinal nerves, explaining the partial paralysis and pain that's left me bedridden. TCs are created by weak walls in the spinal cord. They are surgically corrected by wrapping to restore the normal diameter to prevent nerve damage and sacral bone erosion.
The past eight years have been rough. I've cancelled engagements at the last minute more times than I can count and disappointed - even angering my friends, and more. My pain manifests through sudden and violent vomiting and an inability to stand more than 5 minutes at a time. I take the stairs like Mowgli from the "Jungle Book" movie. Bad days became more frequent.
Now that I am properly diagnosed, it all makes sense. I experience 20 of the 25 symptoms listed on the Tarlov Cyst Foundation website. I'll spare you the details.
I was misdiagnosed in 2021 and my “back condition” got worse through physical therapy. I was partially paralyzed and taken to the ER in October. After two days, the MRI revealed multiple Tarlov cysts. I didn’t even know what they were but after thorough research and a consultation with a local neurosurgeon this past week, I need to see Dr. Frank Feigenbaum in Dallas as soon as possible. Dr. Sikorsky, my highly regarded neurosurgeon said he can help keep me comfortable, but wrap surgery (not offered in Michigan) is needed ASAP. On Dr. Feigenbaum website, he explains how TCs are frequently misdiagnosed and how devastating it is to the patient and burdensome it is to friends and families, but how this disease can be fixed and my life returned to normal.
In order to get surgery, I need to sell my home.
I'm caught in a catch-22.
I own a home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan that's realistically worth $425,000 (even if online sites inflate it higher), with an outstanding mortgage balance of only around $145,000.
I can't make those payments and the mortgage holder will seize my home through a sheriff's sale, and strip me of everything. This includes my 20 years of equity (nearly $300,000), my possessions, my cats, my last shred of stability. I've already missed two payments as of January 1, 2026, and the clock is ticking.
In this crisis, medical emergency gifts are allowed, and so are loans.
I have uncovered medical expenses that so far, I’ve been able to cover with my social security.
I’ve reached out to my church for help with the heating bills and snow removal services and am awaiting their return call. I was very active in religious education for six-year olds and a member of the bereavement committee for years. Last year, St. Vincent dePaul told me that in general, they are in a much better position to help after I am homeless. I'm looking for an ounce of prevention and am hoping our Monsignor can connect me to a benevolent parishioner. Until then, I need to stop any seizure of my home.
It's humiliating to admit, but clutter has overtaken my home, making it unpresentable right now. As a former NYC realtor, I know exactly what staging takes to shine, and my available friends are snowbirds who won’t return until April. Dr. Feigenbaum is booked for 4-6 months out. This procedure will give me back my mobility and my life.
If I lose my home, I lose the capital needed to get my surgery.
I believe in my heart it will sell fast: Bloomfield Hills is a sought-after town, and this 4-bedroom, 2½-bathroom house has solid bones—updated electrical, plumbing, roof, rebuilt chimney, windows, furnace, and more. My snowbird friends will return in early spring to help de-clutter and transform it for sale. A kind person from X has offered to come earlier to help and that may put me in a position to sell earlier. $300,000 is far too much to throw away.
The paths ahead:
I can provide you with two references who I've borrowed monies from and paid them back with compound interest. One is an X acquaintance who was very trusting and I paid her back exactly with the financial instrument and through the institution she requested. I gave my word and honored it. She has offered to vouch and provide evidence, if needed. The other was a lifelong friend, paid in cash with interest.
If you want a contract, I'll sign it and honor it.
I'm pleading for your compassion, your humanity, your prayers. I'm utterly alone.
If 20% compounded interest isn't what you are looking for, please reach out—let's talk about what would work for you. I don't know if DMs are permitted by GiveSendGo but I can be reached on X at "RightSandy" and on Facebook in the search bar as "WillsMudder". My Ven mo is "Sandy-Wills-Mom"
I don't want to cling to this house forever; I just need time to quietly mark my belongings for what's to keep, sell, or let go and be ready for when my friends return to help purge, sort, and rebuild my path forward. This isn't just about money; it's about reclaiming my health, my dignity, my future.
Together, we can "calm the storm". Matthew 8:23
Will you help me please?
