Today is September 5,2026 and don is back in the hospital. Im pretty sure he will not be returning to the boat. I have the boat at a dock so its easier for me when I have to come back and forth and its hurricane season and I can't be around. Anyway thank you for your love and support. I do have our truck in Miami so I can get around. I also have zelle and the number for it is 863-612-6803. of you know. Diesel Don went to the hospital with some concerning symptoms including speach impairment. It was determined that he had a brain tumor. Don came home for about a week before going for his scheduled surgery.
Dons brain surgery was on October 7th. The surgeon was able to remove about 90% of the tumor, but because of the depth and location could not get it all. Don now faces chemotherapy and radiation.
Nearly 2 weeks after his surgery, Don was finally released from the hospital. Unfortunately, the same evening Don was released, he had complications and went back to the hospital. As of today (10/22/25), Don is still in the hospital getting the care he needs to keep the swelling under control as he heals. At this time, he is expected to be there until around ,November 3rd or 4th, depending on his needs.
During this time, Deana has been holding herself together admirably. She has been by Don's side continuously, except for the times she could not be. Since she cannot drive between Miami and Marathon daily, she has had to have a hotel room. As we can expect, this has created and additional expense and stress. At the time of this writing, by the time she is able to potentially bring Don home, she is looking at at least 30 days of hotel time.
I'm asking for donations to help offset the cost of the hotel, as well as possibly cover some of the medical expenses or anything else they may need during this time.

Update:Today is September 23rd.This is Deana and I first want to thank everyone who has donated and sent prayers. Don is out of the hospital and the rehab hospital. We have decided to not go through anymore scans for this tumor nothing can be done about no matter what it will continue to grow. So we are at his brother's in punta gorda fl,he loves going out and setting with his brother. Don can't talk and has lost the use of his right side so he can't walk anymore he is in a wheelchair. We do have hospice coming in to help me because he has to have 24 hour care. He is not at the end of life hospice care but I am the one taking care of him 24/7. Hospice only comes in to take his vitals and get him a hospital bed and a wheelchair and personal care items. I hate to even have to ask for help but we are so tight on funds right now I get really stressed and he sees it and tries to comfort me but he can't talk then he gets upset and frustrated. If you can help in anyway it would be gravely appreciated.

It has been a year since he was diagnosed with a gleoblastoma. And it has been crazy, good day and bad day. I literally have to take it one minute at a time because of the mood swings and forgetting things and not being able to speak and when he does get part of something out it's not what he meant to say.
Anyway I could keep going but I have to tend to him.
