DESPERATE! PLEASE, Please help.

PLEASE HELP, DIRE SITUATION!! YES, THIS IS BEGGING. OUT OF OPTIONS. PLEASE

My home is destroyed leading to losing (hopefully temporary) my best friend, my dog, and being homeless at 76, I've found myself here reaching out to the community for help.

Trading pride for a home.

Reaching the place in my life that makes this necessary is so very humbling. I tried everything I could to not need to reach out for help, but I've exhausted all my options and find myself here, doing just that, asking for help.

I am a very capable 76 year old woman, but the past 8 years have been especially hard with my health and my home of 15 years burning down. I was diagnosed in my late 20's with severe recurring depression, but have managed by being creative to take care of myself with odd jobs such as care giving, hosting yard sales and even digging cans & bottles to recycle. The sciatica and extreme full body arthritis have taken quite a toll on me along with regular aches and pains of aging so I am unable to do any of the things I used to that kept me going.

The home I'd been renting for 15 years was a complete loss, burning to the ground in the 7/2018 California Carr fire. The owners chose not to rebuild, so this began my life of couch surfing anywhere I could as well as sleeping on floors and even in a garage or for the most part in my truck. This was made much harder with my best friend, my little dog, "Little Man." We had some very hard nights in that truck being cramped and sometimes very cold and always uncomfortable. Eventually, I had to make the devastating decision to let him stay with a family member that wasn't allowed another person in her rental, but could have one pet. It was the best for him, but we really leaned on one another and I miss him terribly. He went through it all with me from the 5 minute warning to evacuate to all the sad and stressful nights that came after. If I was hurting or crying he would sit in my lap with his arms on my shoulders and head in my neck, hugging me just like a person, He somehow made the situation tolerable, but it was so unfair to him going from here to there, always being and/feeling in the way. He is a huge part of why I am trying to get a home so that we can be reunited, It is agony visiting and seeing his little face each time I have to go not understanding why he can't come. I promised him I will do anything I can to get us a home.

**Please help me keep that promise. I found a mobile home on a lot that once purchased, I can afford to keep up the space rent & other bills on my fixed income. I do know how hard it is to give when you may not have much yourself, but a little bit from many could really add up, making this all possible. Getting older every day and managing health issues I can no longer hustle the way I used to, but I am nowhere near ready to give up. I am willing and driven to fight for myself and Little Man, I just need some help.

**It's so hard to admit that for the first time in my life I'm sincerely scared of what might happen to me. I am setting aside any pride and humbling myself to reach out for desperately needed help. I've more often than not been the one eager to lend a hand so it feels strange being on this side of things. Making all of this harder is the skyrocketing housing prices, it's just not within my reach on my own. The waiting lists for low income and senior housing are YEARS long and the 8 years I've already been going through this have taken a serious toll on me in every way. I need a safe, permanent place where I can manage the bills on my own.

**I need to exhale and rest, truly rest after what has been the most grueling almost decade of my life. I deeply appreciate the kindness and generosity anyone has shown me & my dog during this time, but all that has ran its course so here I am, reaching out to the community, asking in my most sincere voice, "please help." At a time where we are driven to uplift those who can be a flashy showstopper or even sweet animals, I'm asking that you see the sincere person I am & you might be motivated to prioritize this human who is urgently in need of assistance.

**Please hear my plea and feel moved to help me.

Thank you for reading this. Little Man and I need to be reunited permanently and we appreciate any& all help.

**PLEASE share so I might be able to reach my goal**
