it’s been a little bit since I’ve shared the progress of my healing process.
I am continuing this campaign on GiveSendGo to raise funds for present and upcoming medical expenses.
Right now, the difficulty with mobility continues. I continue to manage pain in the joints and nerves with medication , however with present therapy on the lower back in progress I am experiencing some strengthening of supporting muscles! I remain dependent on a walker/ wheelchair to get around but keep smiling with hope for better days ahead. Presently, still unable to work and am on disability with limited financial resources.
I am in need of an additional $2,200 to meet the need of current and upcoming medical therapy, injections and orthopedic shoes/boots. I have some medical insurance through disability, but it does not cover 100% which leaves me with copays and coinsurance for specialized care such as orthopedic treatment and equipment. I currently have completed surgical correction of nerves in my hand and elbow as well as MRI images of the spine and pelvic. Nerve impingement and neuropathy of the lower legs/feet was confirmed with no medical answer or definitive resolution at this time other than meds. We won’t stop believing for a miracle in this. The rebuild/replacement of my right ankle and right knee still remains a question mark to method or timing. We’ll update as we know. Much if not all of the coinsurance expenses are requested upfront. With limited income these costs can delay the care I need to advance healing for possible recovery
