The Romero Family - Natural Disaster Fund

Nahum and Katie Romero and their children were at YWAM Rancho Abierto and have been missionaries in Mexico for the last several years. Their entire family of 8 followed the call that Jesus placed on their lives, and they have been living in extremely remote areas for the majority of their time abroad, spreading the gospel of Jesus, hope, and giving practical resources to those around them. Their work for the kingdom has been invaluable.

Due to the tropical storm their area experienced devastating flash flooding and after only 7 minutes to evacuate their entire family, they lost everything besides one another. The home they were temporarily in has been destroyed, their suv that was used for familial and ministry purposes was swept away and totaled. Documents and papers have been swept away and they need to make appointments to get those all replaced.

Nahum and their teenage son, Elijah, both suffered injuries from the effects of the flooding and getting everyone out, including a last-minute rescue of one of their two year old twins, Kaleo.

Their insurance company might reimburse some for their vehicle (not 100%) and some other belongings (it isn't clear yet if this will be the case), but the family will need to front the cost initially in order to then request reimbursement.

Please join us in praying for this family as well as all those affected by this sudden, terrifying event.

If you feel led, please give as the Lord lays on your heart. Even $5 will mean so much!
