HELP WINNIE TO HAVE MORE TOMORROWS

Hi, my name is Winnie. 🐾

I’m 9 years old, and I’ve been told I’m a pretty special little Havanese girl.

I was born the runt of my litter, and I’ve had health problems throughout my life. But from the very beginning, my mom looked at this tiny little puppy and saw a life worth fighting for.

And for nine years, I’ve tried my very best to return the favor.

You see, my mom and I have been through a lot together.

There have been years when life wasn't very kind to her. There were heartbreaks and losses, and days when getting through one more day felt almost impossible.

On those days, I stayed.

I couldn't fix what was hurting her. I couldn't tell her everything was going to be okay. So I curled up beside her, followed her from room to room, made her laugh when she didn't think she could, and loved her as hard as one little dog possibly could.

Sometimes, I think she saved me when she chose the runt of the litter.

But the truth is, we've spent our lives saving each other.

And now I'm the one who needs her.

I have another bladder stone and need my second surgery. I've also recently been diagnosed with Cushing's disease caused by a tumor in my pituitary gland. I'll need daily medication and frequent lab work for the rest of my life.

Mom is doing everything she can for me, but she's facing these expenses alone. My surgery, testing, medication, and continuing care all have to be paid out of pocket.

She would never give up on me.

But right now, she needs some help making sure she doesn't have to.

More walks. More cuddles. More silly moments.

More ordinary days that don't feel ordinary at all when you know how precious they are.
