In Fall 2024, the CHIMNEY ROCK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (and) INVESTMENT TEAM, Inc., also known as CREDIT was formed to help with the recovery of the Chimney Rock Village in North Carolina due to damages from TS Helene.

Chimney Rock Economic Development and Investment Team, Inc. (CREDIT) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established to help business owners, business property owners and businesses solely within Chimney Rock Village. The purpose is to assist in efforts to repair, restore and enhance the private-sector entities initially due to damages from TS Helene and thereafter to re-establish and maintain the viability of the downtown Village business community.

Contributions will be used as grants to businesses. The projects will be created and developed through private partnerships with property owners, businesses and other invested entities that will provide a favorable business environment for the community, provide employment and will reestablish the vibrant central business district of the Village.

Corporate Economic Development payments/grants will be made directly to the vendors or contractors involved in the project, not to the owners.
