Supporting Our Mom in the Days Ahead

This past week our family's world changed suddenly.

Since Saturday night, we have been by Dad's side in the hospital as what began as a medical emergency became something none of us were prepared for. After suffering a stroke and brain hemorrhage, we lost our sweet Josmar only a few short days later.

As we try to process this immense loss and navigate everything that comes next, many people have graciously asked how they can help support our family, and especially our mom.

These last several days have already brought unexpected expenses as we have stayed near dad at the hospital, including hotels, food, travel, and time away from work. Looking ahead, we want to give Mom the ability to grieve in a healthy way without immediately feeling the pressure to return fully to work and maintain her company as though life has not completely changed.

This happened so quickly. We were not prepared for it, and there is still so much we do not know about what the coming weeks and months will look like.

This GiveSendGo has been created simply to help carry some of that weight for Mom.

Funds raised will help with the unexpected expenses from this week, everyday needs, and allow her some time and space away from work as she grieves the loss of her husband of 39 years.
