I was fired for not getting the covid shot. My name is Richard, but you can call me David for taking on a Biotech Goliath (ThermoFisher Scientific).

Our religious and medical rights/freedoms were violated during covid, and I want justice, not just for myself, but for us all. Countless people’s rights have been violated in the workplace since covid. Will you join me in this ongoing battle and relaunch of this campaign?

Equally important as the funds, though, are WE THE PEOPLE!  I’d rather have 20,000 people donate $5, than to meet the goal with only a few donors. An army of supporters speaks volumes. Thus far, this cause has cost us over $300K in legal fees. Why is the pursuit of justice financially out of reach for the average person?!

Yes, my name is on the legal documents, but from talking to people, I know that there are MANY supporters of religious and medical freedom in the workplace right behind me. This Biotech Goliath is literally a multi-BILLION dollar company. They have deep pockets and they know it. For 4 years they have tried to drag this out and bleed me dry…but I’m still here! Where GOD guides, He provides! We must fight this and stand against religious and medical persecution!

A SUMARY OF MY BACKGROUND AND THE TIMELINE:

1. 26 years in Biotech & Pharma (infectious disease R&D, operations, production, R&D sales)
2. First Job out of college was an Infectious Disease Scientist at Pfizer
3. Worked in every stage of drug development from R&D through Production
4. Multiple top sales awards at multiple companies, including being the top rep at Fisher Scientific (President's Council) for the entire Western US in 2020.
5. From my extensive experience, I knew that a drug could not be properly tested for long term safety or efficacy in less than a year. 
6. As a Christian, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. And I would not abuse that temple with a potentially deadly poison.
7. Rather than accommodate my religious request for an inexpensive spit test (which they manufacture), I was fired in June of 2022 after 9+ years of high performance. Yes, that’s June of 2022…after most mandates had been dropped, and just months before ThermoFisher removed its own mandates!
8. Fired after I filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
9. Essentially blackballed from the pharma/biotech industry for which I dedicated over 30 years of education and experience. After decades in the industry, no one in Biotech or Pharma wants to hire someone fired for not getting the shot or someone suing the largest supplier in the US.
10. Filed our Federal Case in the 10^th District Court in Feb of 2023.

1. Summary Judgement submitted in Feb of 2025. Judge sat on that for 11 months and ruled against us in December of 2025, dismissing the case…days before Christmas…that felt intentional!
2. Submitted our case to the Appellate Court and have been through the Opening brief process. Oral arguments are scheduled for September 2026!  Upon winning the appeal, we go back to the same Federal judge (that ruled against us) to pick up where we left off on the road to a jury trial. So this is far from over! For that reason, we’re relaunching this GiveSendGo campaign.
