Need help getting dentures after years of recovery

Hello. My name is Megan. I am 40 years old and have been without teeth or proper way to eat for 7-8 years now. I have been sober from alcohol for about 7 years and from meth for 5 years. Jesus saved and delivered me from the chains of addiction that held me down starting at the age of 16. I tried many times to get sober and it wasn't until I surrendered to the Lord, asked for forgiveness and to be saved, and repented for my sins that sobriety FINALLY happened for me. He has kept me strong in sobriety. I suggest to ppl struggling with addiction to turn to Christ, and try your hardest to find rehabs that'll turn you to Christ. I've witnessed/listened to many testimonies from ppl who have stayed sober because they surrendered to Jesus and BELIEVED in Him and what he did for us on the cross. Truly amazing. He works miracles, and He LOVES you. He is waiting for you. Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord and He heard, and He answered, and delivered me from all my fears(the first verse I ever learned and memorized) 😊

Since being sober I have spent a lot of my time in pain with tooth infections, one after another. It took me three long years to get my teeth pulled. I am on medicaid and it wasn't until a few years ago that they finally provided patients with some dental care, which unfortunately doesn't cover dentures. But it did allow me to get my teeth pulled, little by little, only allowing enough coverage for about 3-5 teeth a year. It wasn't until I finally got a referral to an oral surgeon at a hospital where they had to remove all the remaining teeth in one go because of amount of infections and amoxicillin I was always on. It was dangerously effecting my health. It has been about a year since getting them all removed and I have basically had to blend up all my food. I don't eat healthy at all because of this, I eat the same thing about everyday with a lot of those days just eating crackers. Other nights I'll have some eggs, or rice with peas and hamburg. I cannot bite into anything. And even the little amount of teeth I had before all of them were extracted left me unable to eat properly then as well. I could barely chew, and it had to be soft and easy to break apart to swallow and usually was very painful to eat as it was. I am depressed. I want so badly to get healthy, get off a lot of the medications I'm on, go herbal. A good, healthy diet is so important. I barely go out because it's embarrassing to. I can't go out to eat with family or Church potluck after the service and honestly haven't even been going to Church. My gums have shrunk and my cheeks and lips are dramatically shrunk in. I recently thought I'd found a cheap solution and bought dentures cheaply for $400 from NOW DENTURES online that my parents split the cost of(something they really couldn't afford)The dentures are made with a moldable plastic that you put in hot water and then form them to your gums. This, unfortunately, didn't work. They are too thick, and large for me. They do not mold like they advertise. This has left me beat down and left with very little hope, and very frustrated. I have no confidence in myself. I am asking for help with the cost of dentures and paying back my parents the $400 they spent on the dentures that didn't work. I got some quotes that ranged from $4,000-4,500 dollars. I have thought about doing this GiveSendGo thing for a long time now but don't want to feel like I am begging for money from strangers. It has really taken me some strength and courage to post about this about myself and feel completely embarrassed having to, but I simply don't know what to do anymore and have become desperate which out ways the embarrassment at this point.

What I'd give to bite into a piece of bacon, crunchy salad or coleslaw, or a nice steak again. Whoooo-eeeee. I want to be able to grow my own vegetables and process my own meat/buy from local farm. I realize this is a hard time financially for everyone and understand if this goal will be hard to achieve but I would forever be grateful to anyone who can help. If there is any money left over..I will gladly donate it to a similar cause. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help a helpless recovering addict that has been made new through Christ. I pray that God Blesses all who donate/helps ppl in need, and the also the ones in need. We need more humble, caring folks in this world today. Thank you.
