I’m raising money to help a refugee living here in Houston who desperately needs a mobility scooter.
He is oxygen dependent and cannot walk very far. Because of his limited mobility, something as simple as going to church, getting groceries, visiting a shop, or just getting outside can feel almost impossible. He spends far too much time confined to his apartment—not because he wants to be isolated, but because he simply doesn’t have a safe way to get around.
A mobility scooter could make an enormous difference in his life.
It would give him the ability to leave his home, attend church, get to nearby shops and appointments, and have some independence and normality again. More than just a piece of equipment, this scooter would give him the opportunity to participate in life instead of feeling trapped inside his home.
He has already been through the enormous challenges of becoming a refugee and starting over in a new place. I would love to help make this next chapter a little easier.
We are raising money to purchase a reliable mobility scooter that is suitable for his needs, including his oxygen equipment. Any amount, no matter how small, will help us get closer to our goal.
If you are able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, church, family, or community would mean just as much.
Let’s help him get out of his apartment, get back to church, see his community, and have a little freedom again.
Thank you for caring and for helping give him a chance to live his life with dignity and independence.
