His Journey
Just ten days before he was set to marry the love of his life, Johnathan Sullivan—a 24-year-old lineman from Silex, Missouri—received news no young man or engaged couple expected. He was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer, which had already spread to his liver and lymph nodes.
Despite the overwhelming diagnosis, Johnathan and his fiancée, Sadie, placed their faith at the center of their journey. Surrounded by family, friends, and their tight-knit community, they moved forward with their plans and were and had a lovely wedding, stepping into this battle together as husband and wife.
Hard Work, Faith, and a Fight Worth Fighting
If you know Johnathan, you know he isn't one to sit still. When he isn't fixing lines, he’s helping manage his family’s farm, caring for livestock and growing row crops. His Catholic faith, work ethic, and dedication to his family and community define him.
Immediately following their wedding, Johnathan began aggressive chemotherapy treatments. The past few months have been a tough road, and Johnathan is fighting back with full
confidence in God and Our Lady’s intercession.
Remarkable Progress: Recent scans show that the tumors are shrinking, and nearly all of his initial pain and symptoms have subsided.
Next Steps: His medical team recommends starting surgical procedures soon to remove the tumors from his liver, paving the way for a more extensive surgery in the coming months.
Why We Need Your Help
Johnathan’s employer has been exceptionally supportive, allowing him time away to focus entirely on his health. However, being on long-term medical disability comes with significant
financial hurdles:
Reduced Income: A reduced paycheck while daily living expenses and farm needs continue.
Rising Costs: Added expenses, full out-of-pocket health insurance premiums, and medical expenses.
Johnathan and Sadie have not set a strict financial goal—they are simply stepping forward in faith and are deeply grateful for any support provided. Every single dollar raised goes directly toward relieving the heavy burden of medical bills, insurance premiums, and living expenses
during his treatment and recovery.
