Standing Together for Truth: Protect the Realm Makers Community

Dear Realm Makers Family, Authors, and Friends,

If you’ve ever sat in a Realm Makers keynote, chatted on the RealmSphere, or exhaled once you found "your people" at our annual conference, you know how much creative Christians benefit from being a part of our community. Realm Makers has always sought to be a safe haven for Christian writers of speculative stories.

Today, we’re coming to you with hearts heavy with a burden that impacts many members of our creative family. For the past year, we have been fighting a devastating battle to protect not just ourselves, but all of you. But we’ve reached a point where we can no longer carry the weight alone, and we desperately need our community to stand with us.

The Attack on Us All

Since early 2025, our authors, Realm Makers, and we (Scott and Becky personally) have been the targets of a malicious campaign of online defamation. A podcast organization has published dozens of episodes leveling unthinkable accusations against us that include fabrications of child trafficking, cyberbullying, running a cult, and engaging in criminal conspiracies.

THESE CLAIMS ARE CATEGORICALLY UNTRUE.

Initially, we hoped these claims were too outlandish to be taken seriously. We chose to monitor the situation and proceed prudently through the legal system rather than engage in a public online war. But despite our efforts to do things legally and with level heads, our attackers have only doubled down. New videos continue to be published—with one posting as recently as the end of June 2026—directly threatening not just Realm Makers’ reputation, but also questioning the character of prominent members of the Christian writing community.

The more we researched, the bigger we realized the issue was–we were just the most recent targets in our accuser’s "information" campaign against a growing list of Christian authors. The repeated contact with or calling out of people we know and love goes back to 2012 or earlier.

And our livelihood is now jeopardized because of the ongoing stream of lies posted via Voices for Voices' podcast.

Why This is a Fight for Our Entire Community

If this were simply a personal grievance against the two of us, it would not be worth the precious time and financial exhaustion it has taken to keep fighting. But this campaign actively targets you:

1. Defending our authors and attendees: The accusers are implicating (by name) an increasing number of innocent authors, attendees, and members who participate online or at our in-person conference, falsely accusing them of predatory behavior and plagiarism. You’ll find more specifics on this below.
2. The permanent AI threat: In the age of Artificial Intelligence, these false statements don't just disappear. AI search engines are actively scraping these podcast transcripts, summarizing the lies, and presenting them to the public as actual news. It is actively driving people away from our events and community.

What are the accusers claiming, exactly?

So you don’t have to spend hours of your precious time combing through dozens (if not hundreds) of videos, shorts, and posts, here are a few quotes pulled from the original complaint filed with our lawyer, which will illustrate the accusers’ claims in their own words.

They claim Realm Makers is unsafe to attend, with statements like…

1. "Because there are nefarious things going on which have been going on, [parents] need to be told...these authors are predators. So July 18th to the 20th [2025] is when Realm Makers conference is going to be. These people [The Minors and other authors that use the RealmSphere] are going to be there. I urge parents, if you are going to go, keep a lock on your children at all times."
2. "Be aware of what Realm Makers is. ... and pray because it is your children’s lives in danger, and your children could be next."

They accuse RealmSphere authors of exploiting child labor to write books:

1. [implicating an unstated number of authors on the RealmSphere] "There are over a thousand children tonight that I am speaking for on their behalf, and those thousand children are tied to Realm [Makers.] And those thousand children are private messaged by authors every day because they ghostwrite for those writers on Realm who are bestsellers ...[and those children]... get no credit or payment."

They claim users on our private social network are child sexual predators, there to groom and exploit underage users:

1. "...because within their own group [the RealmSphere], are people who are messaging kids about cutting, porn and sex behind parents' backs, who are adults, and those kids are going to be addicted to said subject matter. The leader, Scott Minor, has chosen to look the other way..."

The podcaster often follows up claims like this one with vague insinuations like: "There's different names on the Diddy list that might be included with Realm and Realm Makers."

Our accusers flatly state a desire to bring harm to our organization by saying things like:

1. "I don't apologize for the chaos I've caused exposing Realm Makers." 
2. "Scott Minor, I will bring you down, I will bring the house down on you...I will make sure that you are removed from [Realm Makers'] leadership because you have not shown leadership. You've shown stupidity, manipulation."
3. After claiming Scott called the accuser to say “...that he was going to take [the accuser’s] son, and that he traffics children,” the accuser left Scott a profanity-laden voicemail that contained an indirect death threat, which he talked about plainly on a soon-to-follow podcast episode. 

The accuser explained in the interview, “I called Scott Minor and threatened him that if he harmed a hair on my son, then God have mercy on him, he will be a dead man. And maybe not in those kind words." 

The Urgent Need: Our GiveSendGo Campaign

Right now, our attempts to settle out of court are at a standstill. Achieving justice before a Court of law is our ultimate goal. We are hopeful that the truth with prevail as the litigation continues.

But we’re collapsing under the financial and emotional burden. Over a year of legal battles has strained our personal resources and our company budget to the absolute breaking point. We must provide a counterpoint to the lies festering online, but we simply don’t have the financial resources to finish this race without help.
