Help Melissa & Clayton with Sudden Loss of Travis

Today, on Valentine’s Day, our dear friend Travis Williamson tragically passed away after hydroplaning on PGBT and hitting a concrete column while driving home from work. In one unthinkable moment, Melissa lost her husband of 25 years, and 10-year-old Clayton lost his dad.

Travis and Melissa have always been the ones who show up. They gave their time and energy serving with the Randall County Fire Department and volunteering with the North Texas State Fair Association, supporting youth, agriculture, scholarships, and their community. If something needed to be done, they were there. Quietly. Faithfully. Without asking for recognition.

Now they need us.

Melissa is facing funeral expenses, household bills, and the overwhelming reality of rebuilding life without the love of her life. Clayton is navigating childhood without his father’s steady presence. As Melissa prepares to return to the workforce, the financial pressure is immediate and heavy.

We’re asking our community — friends, fellow volunteers, fire family, fair family, and anyone who believes in showing up when it matters — to help lift this burden.

Every donation will go directly toward:

  • Funeral and memorial expenses
  • Immediate household bills
  • Supporting Clayton’s needs
  • Giving Melissa breathing room as she grieves and transitions back to work

If Travis and Melissa ever helped you, encouraged your child, stood beside you at an event, or served your community — this is our chance to stand for them.

Please give what you can. And if you can’t give, share this page and keep Melissa and Clayton in your prayers.

Let’s surround this family with the same love they have poured into so many others.
