In June of 2024, I was diagnosed with a very aggressive Stage 4 Prostate cancer that had already metastasized throughout my upper skeletal structure and into four lymph nodes. Needless to say, I was not expecting to hear any of those things from my doctor. I was intentionally taking care of myself, exercising, eating very healthily, taking all sorts of great supplements, drinks, and powders....doing all the "right things". It truly felt like all the oxygen was sucked out of my world.

Since then, I've been on an up and down rollercoaster of pain, emotions, hope, setbacks, progress, and breakthroughs. My wife and I have gone down the road pursuing treatments that ranged from regenerative therapies to alternative integrative treatments to the traditional Western medicine approach. We have settled on a very minimal traditional Western medicine and are leaning very heavily on alternative integrative treatments.

In March of 2026, I had a significant setback where a tumor had rapidly grown out from my T3 & T4 vertebrae and around my spinal cord, compressing it 90% and pretty much paralizing me from my ribcages down. This was caught just in time, and an emergency laminectomy with fusion was performed. Since then, I've been on a painful, slow, and exhausting journey of recovering from the surgery while continuing to fight the cancer.

As of this update (May 1st, 2026), I am pursuing a cutting-edge treatment that is about to be made available around the end of May 2026. This treatment uses three different forms of Exosomes that specifically target cancer cells and kill them. That is a very simple explanation; it's far more complex and involved, but since I'm not a doctor, this is the best I can do at this time. :-)

I have realized my financial needs have shifted from a large and costly monthly supplement intake to a large treatment that will be performed by doctors. All of this is part of the integrative oncology I'm pursuing and does not account for the Western medicine I'm also pursuing at the same time. I believe combining both and attacking the cancer from both angles is the best approach, and it is working great so far!

The cost for the Exosomes and traveling to the Hope4Cancer facility in Cancun, Mexico, to administer them is not covered by insurance at all. This is all out of pocket for me. The last two years battling this disease have drained my finances, and I have had to rely on the generous gifts from so many family, friends, and even strangers who have become our friends, to be able to do what I've done so far. I am humbled and forever grateful for every gift, no matter how small or big it was. I'm truly overwhelmed with gratitude.
