Zoe is an incredible 8 year old girl with an extremely rare form of intractable epilepsy called Aicardi syndrome. 

At only three months old, she started having hundreds of seizures a day. 

Recently, she qualified for a VNS implant surgery scheduled for April of this year. 

The VNS device is an implant that will send pulses to her brain, and over time, reduce the seizure activity. 

After failing multiple anticonvulsant medications the doctors believe the VNS implant to give her the best chance to control the seizures and give our little girl a future. 

The surgery to implant the VNS and the following appointments to program the device to Zoe’s needs will require us to be in Southern California a lot over the next few months. 

The funds we are raising will afford our travel costs, accessibility equipment for Zoe, and sustain our family during the months ahead.
