Restoring the Ingram's

From Drury Ingram:

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am reaching out to this community to lay before you an urgent, time-sensitive necessity for my family. Under the Restore Louisiana grant program following Hurricane Ida, we have been awarded a $74,000 disaster recovery grant to replace our damaged housing with a new manufactured home. Through the immense generosity of a fellow Catholic brother in the industry, we have secured a unit at nearly direct cost—a concession he could not make standard business practice. However, because state program rules require the homeowner to cover the gap upfront before grant reimbursements unlock, we must raise a remaining $35,000 to finalize the purchase, execute site preparation, and clear delivery.

The urgency of this moment is critical due to circumstances beyond our control. After years of wrestling with state bureaucracy, an official notice regarding our final program milestone was lost entirely in the mail and never delivered. By what can only be called God's providence, I discovered the situation by chance—only to learn that we were already past the standard window and living on borrowed time. The state has set a hard, non-negotiable deadline: the home must be delivered to our property by the end of October.

Some may wonder why a standard commercial loan isn't an option to bridge this gap. Quite simply, without established credit, conventional financing isn't available to us on such short notice. Moreover, my goal as a father is to build a truly stable foundation for my family without taking on unsustainable high-interest debt. As Pope Leo XIII reflected in Rerum Novarum, working families ought to be able to attain a modest, dignified measure of property ownership and temporal stability so they can focus on what matters most—building a strong home and serving God.

We have 30 days to bridge this final gap and protect what has taken years of prayer and endurance to secure. Without these funds in place to clear delivery and setup, we risk forfeiting the $74,000 in state disaster funding that makes a stable, debt-free home possible for my family. I am asking for your financial support, prayers, and help in sharing this appeal over the next 30 days to reach our $35,000 goal by the end of October.

Every contribution directly unlocks the $74,000 grant and establishes our domestic church on firm ground. If you can assist financially, offer a lead, or share this with others who care about supporting Catholic families, please contact me directly. Thank you for your charity, prayers, and brotherhood.
