HELP REMOVE JJ’S EMPLOYMENT BARRIERS

JJ and his family arrived in Utah from South Africa in May 2026, hoping to build a new life and become self-sufficient.

Shortly after their arrival, JJ's wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent brain surgery. She has been hospitalized and is now incapacitated, requiring 24-hour care. She is expected to return home September 30.

While his wife has been in the hospital, JJ has been caring for his family and supporting his 15-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter while navigating the challenges of starting over in a new country. He wants to work.

We're raising $500 to help remove the practical barriers standing between JJ and employment. The funds will help cover a laptop for job searching and work, internet service to keep him connected and able to apply for and pursue employment, and required licensing and credentials.
