Help Our Son Through Recovery and Care

Our son is 55 years old. In the last month, due to his life circumstances, he stopped alcohol use completely but then started overusing prescribed muscle relaxants that weren't prescribed to him. This caused him to suffer convulsions, and he was transported to the ER.

He spent four days in intensive care and then three more days in the hospital for testing and observation. He has suffered partial brain damage and faces a long rehabilitation ahead.

Our daughter, his sister, has taken him in for now, but the toll on her is quickly wearing her out. Our families are of modest means, and the financial costs to care for him are quickly going above what we can support on our own.
