The Tabler’s Adoption Journey

The Tablers are faithfully walking through the beautiful journey of adoption that God has called them to. After years of prayer, conversations, and thoughtful consideration, Patrick and Shandi are ready to open their hearts and home to another child.

“We have been blessed beyond measure with our two girls, River and Marlee, and for a long time we thought our family was complete. But over the past few years, something began to change in our hearts. We started talking and praying about what it would be like to raise a son alongside our daughters, and those conversations eventually led us to adoption.

Now we’re ready to take that step.”

Patrick and Shandi look forward to providing their son with the same loving, stable, faith-filled home in which River and Marlee are being raised—and the girls are SO excited to welcome a baby brother!

Patrick and Shandi are committed to contributing significantly toward the adoption themselves, but private adoption is an extraordinary financial undertaking.

The total cost is expected to be approximately $68,000. That includes application free, home study fees, adoption application fee, and matching and placement fee.

“We are investing everything we can ourselves, but we are asking our family, friends, and community to consider helping us bridge the gap. We know this is a big goal, and we are incredibly grateful for every prayer, every gift, and every person who chooses to walk alongside us.”

For Patrick and Shandi, though, this is about much more than raising money.

“We don’t want this simply to be a fundraiser where you give and never know what became of it. If you become part of our son’s story, we want you to remain part of it. We hope to share his journey home and, as the years pass, updates on the little boy—and eventually the young man—your generosity helped welcome into our family.

One year. Five years. Ten years.

Our hope is that someday we can tell our son, ‘Before we even knew who you were, there were people who were already praying for you, loving you, and helping make a place for you in our family.’”
