I am reaching out during an extremely difficult time to respectfully request assistance for my family and me. I was recently laid off from my job after speaking up regarding a workplace situation in which a manager made a statement that I was “replaceable” to the company. The unexpected loss of my employment has placed me in a serious financial hardship, and I am currently struggling to maintain stable housing and meet other basic needs.

In addition to trying to manage my own financial responsibilities, I have been helping my sister care for her grandchildren, of whom she has custody. Our family has also recently experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. There were four children, but sadly, one of the children recently passed away. Our family is still grieving this devastating loss while trying to provide stability, care, and support for the remaining three children.

At this time, I am in urgent need of rental assistance to help prevent my housing situation from becoming unstable. I am also seeking assistance with school clothing and other necessities for the children, as well as transportation assistance so that I can continue handling essential responsibilities while working toward becoming financially stable again.

I understand that many families are experiencing hardships and that resources may be limited. Any assistance, resources, referrals, or support that your organization can provide would mean more to my family than I can express. My goal is simply to get through this difficult period, maintain a safe and stable home, and continue supporting my family while I work toward getting back on my feet.
