💙 PLEASE HELP MY BROTHER MICHAEL 💙

A family, a sanctuary & an unexpected fight with cancer

My brother Michael has just undergone major brain surgery after doctors discovered a cancerous tumor larger than a fist, along with a cyst on his brain.

Thankfully, Michael made it through surgery and is now recovering. 🙏 But his journey is far from over.

Doctors are now doing additional scans because they are concerned that the cancer may have started somewhere else in his body and spread to his brain. We are still waiting for answers and don't yet know what the road ahead will look like.

Michael will need rehabilitation, follow-up appointments, continued medical care, and potentially cancer treatment. Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance, making an already frightening situation even more overwhelming financially.

🐴 THERE'S ANOTHER PART OF MICHAEL'S STORY

Michael and his partner dedicate their lives to caring for horses through Horseshoe Pines Horse Sanctuary, their horse rescue and sanctuary.

While Michael recovers, his partner will be carrying an enormous responsibility. She will be helping care for Michael, taking him to medical appointments, managing everything that comes with his recovery, and continuing to care for the horses that depend on them every single day.

The horses still need to be fed.

They still need hay and supplies.

They still need daily care.

And Michael needs his partner beside him as he faces whatever comes next.

💙 AND I'M HOPING TO GET TO MY BROTHER

There is another very personal reason I'm asking for help.

I haven't seen my brother Michael in more than 20 years.

After learning how sick he was and everything he is now facing, I desperately want the opportunity to fly to Arkansas and be there with my brother during this incredibly uncertain

I'm asking our friends, family, animal-loving community, and anyone touched by Michael's story to please consider helping.

Donations will help with Michael's medical and rehabilitation expenses, transportation to appointments, everyday living expenses during his recovery, caring for the sanctuary and its horses while Michael is unable to help, and helping me travel to Arkansas to be with my brother.
