Help Joy heal from cancer!

Joy Schon (previously Joy Babiniec) has a gentleness that is evident to everyone who knows her. She has a remarkable way of bringing peace and calm to others, even in the midst of great difficulty. Her life is a testimony to God’s loving-kindness and to the sweet spirit He has given her.

She is our beloved sister in the Lord. A new bride of only ten months, still delighting in the gift of becoming Kai’s wife. A devoted mother to four children by birth and three more by love.

As a neurotherapist, Joy has spent years caring for people in some of their hardest places—listening patiently, calming anxious hearts, and offering compassion and encouragement when they need it most. The tenderness Joy carries is not simply part of her personality. It is the fruit of a life quietly shaped by the Lord. Again and again, God has used her gentle spirit to minister to the people He has placed in her life.

If you know Joy, you know this about her: she gives generously of her time, her attention, her compassion, and her heart. She has spent much of her life caring for and encouraging others through some of their most difficult days.

Her name seems especially fitting.

She is Joy.

And right now, our sweet Joy is fighting for her life.

Joy is facing an aggressive cancer that requires specialized care far beyond what insurance will cover. The medical expenses, travel, lodging, and care for her children while she undergoes treatment will be significant.

Our goal is to raise $125,000.

We are asking the body of Christ, along with all those who love Joy and her family, to help carry this financial burden so Joy and Kai can devote their energy to her treatment, their children, and the difficult days ahead.

We praise God for the beautiful life He has already written in Joy, and we trust Him now—for healing, for strength for each day, for wisdom in every medical decision, and for every practical need this family will face.
