Immediate Needs - Financially Wiped Out

Elderly couple facing aggressive Parkinson's care alone. An unimaginable double crisis has left Sandra Knudsen and her husband Mike Priest in urgent need of our community support.

Besides her husband dealing with a very aggressive form of Parkinsonism with a sharp decline in his mobility in the past few months, Sandra Knudsen and Mike Priest have suffered another severe blow. Their savings, primarily to take care of Mike's medical needs, has been fraudulently wiped out. All compromised devices and accounts have now been secured.

They would greatly appreciate any gift.

Currently, Sandra is the sole care provider round-the-clock care for Mike.

In recent months, Mike's health has taken a heartbreaking turn as he battles a very aggressive form of Parkinsonism, causing a rapid and sharp decline in his mobility. Sandra has stepped up, providing exhausting, round-the-clock care to keep Mike safe and comfortable as possible at home.

Basic medically-essential monthly needs still need to be met.

Contributions will go towards immediate short-term essentials.

The primary urgent needs include:

1. Basic Medical equipment for Mike due to his mobility decline with Parkinsonism;
2. Respite care for Mike so Sandy is able to leave the house for errands;
3. House cleaning help (as necessary);
4. Home adaptations / improvements due to Mike's Parkinsonism disability;
5. In-home care/help
