James is a dad to three amazing boys, and more than anything, he wants to keep showing up for them.

He wants to be there for the everyday things—the school days, baseball games, appointments, homework, conversations, hard days, good days, and all of the little moments in between that make a dad a dad.

James is also a Christian, and his faith is a big part of how he has tried to walk through what has been an incredibly difficult season. He believes that being a father is something God entrusted to him, and he takes that responsibility seriously. He wants his boys to grow up knowing that their dad loves them, will stand beside them, and will continue fighting to be present in their lives.

Since the divorce, things have become much more complicated than any of us expected. There are many details we simply aren’t going to share publicly because there are children involved, and protecting them is more important than telling the whole story online.

What we can say is that James has reached a point where he needs experienced legal help to protect his rights as a father and make sure he can continue to have a meaningful and active role in his boys’ lives.

Unfortunately, getting the right legal representation is expensive. The attorney retainer and the costs that come with an ongoing legal matter are more than our family can comfortably take on alone.

So we’re asking for help.

If you know James, you know how much his boys mean to him. This isn’t about attacking anyone, getting even, or trying to “win” against somebody else. It’s about three boys and a dad who loves them and wants to make sure he has the ability to keep showing up for them.

Any money raised will go toward James’s attorney retainer and related legal expenses.
