Help Us Relocate and Rebuild

We are asking our friends and Christian family for help with the cost of relocating our home several hundred miles and rebuilding our lives.

Unfortunately, we are having to move because our current living situation has become unbearable. During our time in this place we've experienced sustained intimidation and aggression from people connected with our immediate situation, as well as online stalking and harassment. The situation has become particularly difficult because our main source of income was our online, public-facing video work, and the harassment and stalking we experienced made it impossible for us to continue using that income stream in the way we had been; we had to shut it down for our own safety.

We’ve always tried to work with our hands, support ourselves and meet our own responsibilities. We had built up savings, but after the difficulties we’ve experienced during this year, those savings have sadly been exhausted.

We have tried to deal with matters properly through the appropriate channels and are seeking help from some local authorities. However, the emotional and financial cost of dealing with the situation has been considerable.

Now we need to leave what we hoped would be our long-term home, and start again.

We're deliberately planning to do the move ourselves (which will take two round-trips and one final single trip) rather than employ a professional removal company. Doing it ourselves is of course much cheaper than paying professional removal and transport costs over such a long distance. But more importantly, after what we’ve experienced, maintaining our privacy and security during the move is extremely important to us, and we can’t 100% rely on a professional company’s discretion.

We'll be looking to hire some vans and haul everything ourselves. 💪🏻

Our aim is to use this fundraiser to help get ourselves moved safely away from what has felt like sustained persecution, and back on our feet.

When we move, we intend to return to a type of work away from the public eye, one that we know extremely well and have successfully made a living from in the past; one we couldn’t achieve living rurally as we have been doing. We have experience in this line of work and, before moving to such a remote location, it was a viable source of income for us.

Our intention is to use part of the money raised to help us establish the beginnings of that business again, allowing us to become financially self-supporting once more.

Our Christian friends have encouraged us to allow people who care about us to help, and we wanted to be open about our circumstances. If anyone feels able to contribute, we want you to understand exactly what you’re helping with: leave a situation that has become unsafe, protect our privacy during the move, establish ourselves somewhere new and anonymous, and rebuild a 'self-sufficient' source of income, God willing.

Our new home is clean and warm, with lots of outdoor space to build a healthy lifestyle, grow some of our own food, and put down roots.
