On August 4, 2026, Beth went to the emergency room with abdominal pain. What began as an unexpected trip to the hospital quickly turned into life-changing news. Within hours, Beth underwent emergency surgery, a right hemicolectomy. Doctors discovered a large mass in her colon containing a tumor. She was released from the hospital on August 8 needing iron infusions, and facing the heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer.

Since that day, Beth has been fighting to heal and prepare for the difficult road ahead. After waiting for her incision to heal and having a port placed, she was finally able to begin treatment. She has now started chemotherapy, but the side effects have been severe and are making it increasingly difficult for her to continue working as much as she hoped to.

Beth faces six months of chemotherapy, and immunotherapy for 12 months, with additional surgeries expected in the future. This will be a long and challenging journey physically, emotionally, and financially.

As Beth focuses on fighting cancer and getting through treatment, she will need time away from work. Zach will also need to take time off work so he can be by her side, support her through the hardest days, and help care for her throughout this journey. With both of them facing time away from work while medical needs continue to grow, the financial strain can quickly become overwhelming.

We are asking for your help to ease some of that burden so Beth and Zach can focus on what matters most: her health, her recovery, and their family.
