Help Restore Power for the McShane Family

We are raising funds for the McShane family here in Louisville, KY. They are a young family with 2 young children, and an elderly relative lives with them as well who is disabled. Their electric bill has been over $600 a month for several months, and they have gotten behind because they have been unable to afford to pay it with only one of them working full time and both of them working in the evening doing Door Dash. Two weeks ago, their electricity was cut off, and three days ago the emergency generator they had stopped working. Now they have a $1300 deficit and need help to get their electricity turned back on.

Once their electricity is back on, the LGE WeCare Program can help with some energy efficiency repairs, such as insulation and air and duct sealing at no cost, so we are excited to see that happen in the very near future.

We have contacted community ministries and several churches as well, but response times have been slow, about 14 days to hear back. Donations will help cover the $1300 needed to turn their electricity back on.
