Hello. We’re Ashley and Joshua and we’re the parents of Oscar. A few days ago, we noticed he was trying multiple times to urinate but was unable to produce any and was visibly in pain. We rushed him to the nearest animal hospital we could, and after multiple transfers, we learned that he has a urethral blockage that is common in male cats. After being hospitalized and on a catheter for the past 3 days, he is still unable to produce urine on his own and will require surgery to remove the blockage. Additionally, we aren’t able to keep him in the current clinic over the weekend due to them not being open and will have to move him to an ER for the next couple of days. We’ve already paid over $2000 for his stay there, and will have to pay about $5000 to cover his ER cost and the surgery. We will be doing our best to pick up extra shifts at our jobs, sell items on Ebay, and Doordash/Uber over the weekend. We do not expect to reach the goal here in time, but any donation would be greatly appreciated. Oscar means the world to us and we aren’t ready to say goodbye to him yet.
