$800– credit cards, which I have had to live on recently.

$200 – electric/water

$80 – Wi-Fi, looking into something less

$100 – miscellaneous monthly expenses

I'm 61 years old and have worked in Florida since I was 18, sometimes two jobs at a time. I never expected to face disability at this stage of my life, but health issues have made it impossible for me to continue working.

I've reached out to government assistance programs, but I don't qualify under their rules. I've applied for Social Security disability, but as many people know, that process takes a long time. I'm in a race against time: I have until approximately November before I can no longer pay my mortgage.
