Help me get back on the road and back on my feet!

Asking for help is not. something that comes easily to me. I have always tried to take care of things on my own, but right. now I am facing several challenges at the same time and could really use a helping hand.

My car is a 2005 Mercury Mariner. which is now 21 years old. It has been a dependable transportation for me, but unfortunately it has developed a busted head gasket, along with another leak underneath the engine. I was quoted approximately $2500 for the necessary repairs.

My Mariner also no longer has air conditioning, but at this point replacing the vehicle simply isn't something I can afford. With the cost of everything else I'm facing right now repairing the car I already have is the best option for keeping reliable transportation.

On top of the car problems. I am preparing for a total knee replacement. I am hopeful that the surgery will help me get back on my feet and return to work as soon as possible, but I know there will be a period of recovery when I may not be able to work like I normally do.

That is why. I'm hoping to raise $6000 approximately. $2500 would go toward repairing my car and the remaining funds would help me stay current with my rent, household bills, transportation, and other necessary expenses during my surgery during and after my surgery while I recover. Having a working vehicle is especially important to me right now. I need transportation for medical appointments, errands, and most importantly getting back to work when I am physically able. Having my car repaired would take a tremendous amount of stress off my shoulders and allow me to concentrate on my recovery instead of worrying about how I'm going to get where I need to go.

My goal is to recover and get back to work as soon as possible. I am not. looking for an easy way out. I am simply asking for some help getting through a difficult period until I am able to get back on my feet and take care of things myself again.
