Heider Family's Long Road to Recovery

Our dear friend, Anthony, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident while traveling in the Eagle’s Nest area of New Mexico on Saturday. He was airlifted to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque and has now been admitted to the ICU there.

Anthony sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), multiple fractures in his neck and spine, broken ribs, and other serious injuries. He is currently sedated and on a breathing machine so that his body can rest while his medical team closely monitors his condition. His recovery journey is just beginning, and there are still many unknowns about what lies ahead.

We serve a mighty God, a God who is STILL in the business of healing, restoring, and doing things beyond what we can imagine. While we don't yet know what the road ahead holds, we know the One who holds Anthony in His hands. We are praying BOLDLY for healing, strength, and miracles, trusting that God is present even in the most difficult moments. (Joshua 1:9)

His wife, Rosalinda, is holding tightly to her faith, believing that God is not finished writing their story. God has been writing each of our testimonies long before we understood the purpose of the difficult chapters, and we believe this chapter will become part of Anthony's testimony, too. We are trusting our mighty, healing God from hour to hour, one day at a time.

We are incredibly grateful to Anthony’s friend, Jeremy, who was there when the accident happened and immediately provided CPR and assistance. His quick actions and military training may very well have saved Anthony’s life. We are also thankful for the dedicated medical teams who are not only caring for Anthony around the clock, but caring for Rosalinda and Anthony's family as well.

Now, we also want to help take care of the family who is facing so much uncertainty.

An extended ICU stay and lengthy recovery will bring significant financial and practical challenges. Rosalinda has been ramping up her new private therapy practice and does not have temporary income benefits for catastrophic situations like this. It is likely that his ICU stay in Albuquerque alone will be weeks, and is far away from their home in Amarillo. Donations will help with household bills, lost income, travel, meals, and expenses not covered by insurance as the family focuses on Anthony’s care and recovery.

We believe in the power of prayer and in a God who can bring hope into the darkest places. Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 32:27, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” Financial assistance will go a very long way for them, but we are also asking for BOLD and FAITHFUL prayer that does not cease. Stand with us as we cover this family in prayer, believing in healing, strength, and God's presence through every step ahead.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a difference for them. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, and our community is another meaningful way to help.

Anthony’s wife is holding tightly to her faith and believes this is not the end of their story. We are joining her in that hope and surrounding their family with love, prayers, and support.

We don't know how this story will unfold, but we know who holds the pen. We believe God is still working, even when we cannot see what He is doing, and we are trusting Him with Anthony's healing and the days ahead. This is not the end of his story. We are believing that one day, this chapter will be part of a testimony of God's faithfulness, grace, and healing power.

Thank you for showing up for Anthony and his family during one of the most difficult times of their lives. ❤️
