My autistic son's fight for his freedom.

Our family is facing an overwhelming and unexpected legal challenge, and we are humbly asking for help. Last month I stood in a courtroom watching my 26 year-old autistic son at the center of an unexpected legal storm. Our son has autism and requires significant support navigating daily life, especially high-stress and unfamiliar situations. Like many individuals on the autism spectrum, he struggles with communication, processing information, and coping with complex systems that most people take for granted. Experiencing the legal process under these circumstances has been especially confusing and frightening for him, and heartbreaking for us as his parents.

We are doing everything we can to ensure that he has competent legal representation and the advocacy he needs during this time. Unfortunately, the cost of legal defense is substantial and continues to grow. Despite our best efforts, we simply do not have the financial resources necessary to cover the mounting legal fees on our own. This fundraiser is intended solely to help offset those legal expenses so that our son can have fair representation and support as he moves forward. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward legal fees and related costs.
